CD Duplication "How does the
process work?"
CD Duplication is a completely process than replication and in
general is more cost effective for smaller runs of 500 pieces or
less. Even though CDrs can be duplicated faster, this process
is slightly more expensive then replicating because it is "a
different process".
CD Duplication starts with a master CD-r that the client
provides. The blank media is then duplicated in a tower that
consists of multiple Burners. The master disc is placed in the
source drive and the blank CD-rs in the slave drive. Once the
blank is copied with the masters data it can be labeled with a
high quality printed label or printed with either thermal or
silkscreen printing.

CD Rom Replication is less expensive than Duplication when it
comes to quantities over 500 pieces. With millions of CDs being made
each day the process is not as quick a turn as duplication but
can yield significantly lower costs in large volume.

"How does the process work?"
CD replication
begins with the same process as duplication. You provide us
with a finished CD-r master but instead of duplicating the CDs
in towers we create what is called a stamper. A stamper is
digital mirror image of your master disc and is used in a
press that takes plastics, metals and bonding agents to
actually stamp a copy of your disc. Because of the lower costs
the majority of retail discs on the market are not duplicated.
